The work I create flows out of impressions
left by things I see and feel that touch me
deeply.
Anything imagined and unimaginable
appears on each work as I search for
beyond what is seen.
Nature is my main source of inspiration.
I’m drawn to the intricacies of a spider’s
web as it reflects light. I’m mesmerized
by the iridescent, stained-glass
beauty in butterflies wings;
and by shapes such as that of an unfurling bud.
I harmonize colors, shapes, and textures
to create a relationship between the painting
and the viewer; a relationship
that is not only seen but also felt.
With each painting I strive to make my mark
in the evolution of the visual arts.
